I was pretty surprised to see these negative reviews because I had such a great experience with MDC Builders. They were recommended by my homeowners insurance and did a great job. I had a 1953 kitchen never remodeled that was damaged by water from the atmospheric river and shoddy roof solar installation. The folks at MDC coordinated everything from insurance estimates, lead and asbestos mitigation, bringing electrical up to code, installing new cabinets and counters, and making a few changes we added. They had excellent communication, letting me know each day what was planned for the next day. The office staff were really friendly and helpful, the workers were on time, delightful and respectful. Mike Candau, the owner, and Juan Leyva, the project manager were knowledgeable and super helpful. We are so grateful to MDC for their excellent work!

MDC was referred to us by our insurance company for a whole kitchen renovation after a bad leak. These guys were awesome! Adan was our project manager and he is amazing at what he does. He was polite, accommodating, really tried to work with us to make us happy in every way possible, and just a really nice guy all around. The whole team was polite, very punctual, and detail oriented. They would always call the day before and let you know what time they would be showing up in the morning. If we didn't like something, Adan would go out of his way to fix it and find another alternative. I would recommend this company over and over again and we are very happy we decided to go with them!

We were referred to MDC by our homeowners insurer to repair damage caused by a plumbing leak. They replaced some drywall and ceilings, repainted the affected areas, and replaced a carpet. Their crew worked hard, did quality work, showed up when they said they would, and were personable and professional. I can't speak to whether what they did could have been done more inexpensively, but our insurance company approved their estimate, so I assume it was within a normal range for what they did.

We thoroughly enjoyed working with MDC Builders! They were responsive, reliable and helpful! We had a flood in our in-law unit and so we worked with many different crews; paint, drywall, tile, flooring, plumbing etc. Every crew member we met was super happy and welcoming. We have two little kids and everyone was kind and understanding of their needs. We highly recommend working with them!
